Effluent Treatment
CaEng offers validated expertise in the successful engineering and commissioning of multiple complex treatment plants such as:

Study case
Converter Slurry Filtration Plant Upgrade Study – Central Africa
The client’s plant was originally designed to receive and treat blowdown from the high efficiency scrubbers that capture dust from the Peirce Smith Converters. Since the plant was commissioned, it has not operated at its design nameplate capacity.
CaEng was retained to develop a concept study to improve operation of the plant by reducing downtime and improving filter cake production. Our work involved comparing various options to increase the capture efficiency of both entrained and precipitated solids, as well as enhancing the quality of the precipitates to improve their handling and filterability
