Study case
Plant Ramp up and Improvement Engineering – Europe
CaEng was retained to provide subject matter expert support to support expediting ramp up of the hydrometallurgical facility located in Scandinavia. In parallel, the client has identified numerous initiatives for improvements to the core process. Engineering activities for the improvements has commenced, CaEng is supporting the development by providing SME support.
Study case
Lead Refinery Study Review – Europe
CaEng was engaged to provide owner’s engineering services to review the information provided by an EPC contractor understand the viability of replacing the existing pyrometallurgical lead refinery with an electrolytic refinery.
Our team provided support assessing the completed process work, layout considerations, equipment supply and the capital cost estimate. During the review it was deemed necessary to develop a new layout and bottoms up cost estimate which was completed by the CaEng team.
Study case
Slag Milling Study - USA
CaEng was retained to conduct a comprehensive study exploring options for re-processing slag. This undertaking was divided into two distinct stages. Stage one involved an extensive options study to identify all viable possibilities for slag reprocessing. Following this, two preferred options were selected to advance to the concept level. For these chosen concepts, CaEng developed flowsheets, major equipment specifications, detailed layouts, and comprehensive capital and operating cost estimates.
